Simon Gore is an experimental and ambient musician. His compositions are characterized by dense soundscapes, the extended use of acoustic piano, various analog synths and effects, tape manipulation, room ambiances and field recording.
Even though evolving through the minimalist sphere, his work shows a high complexity in the research of every effect, subtle patterns and in terms of composition, structure and mix.
He joined October Tone after spontaniously presenting his forthcoming album and this collaboration ended in a three segments cooperation which “For Eliane” is the first component. The piece is an 18.5-minute microtonal composition for solo pipe organ. The recording is one continuous take with no overdubs and is solely inspired by the works of Eliane Radigue.
Lasse Marhaug, Norwegian composer and noise musician who worked since 2015 with Simon Gore and on several noise projects including Sunn O))) Merzbow offer his services for mastering this dedication.
“For Eliane” is available as 300 pieces limited vinyle edition to preorder through October Tone and Circuit Sweet.
Native from South Wales, Simon is now living in Akershus, Norway.
Audio/Visual artist, Simon Gore works within the fields of live performance, composition, music production, sound art, sound design, film, photography, video glitch art and creative writing.
